Use of Mythic
By using the Mythic website and app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to terminate your account at any time, without warning, if we deem it necessary to protect the service.
If we decide to sell, change ownership, or terminate Mythic, we will notify you in advance and give you an opportunity to retrieve your data beforehand.
Intellectual Property
The content you create is your own. We will not use it (except within your account on Mythic), share it, or sell it without your explicit permission. If you incorporate the work of others in to your own and then share or sell your augmented content on Mythic, you certify that you have the relevant rights and permissions to do so.
If you believe someone is infringing upon your copyright, email us at contact@mythic.nz
so we may investigate and take appropriate action. This action may include removal of content and suspension of the offending user account. Please don’t steal from others.
Updates to this Policy
As Mythic grows and changes, this policy may as well. We will endeavour to notify you of any changes in advance, but may change this policy at any time. Please see the date at the top of this document for when it was last updated.
Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy: they’re important, but no one likes to read them. We’ll try to keep this as understandable and succinct as possible.
We believe in privacy respecting software. The only personal information we collect is your email address. We will use this to provide you access to use Mythic and to communicate with you about your account, support, and changes to Mythic.
To do this, your email will be provided to Auth0 for the purpose of creating and managing your account and authentication credentials.
We will not sell or provide a third party with your email address except as stated above.
Analytics
Matomo
We use Matomo Analytics for site usage analytics . We self-host the software so no data is sent to Matomo. We have disabled tracking cookies and will respect Do Not Track signals from your browser. When you visit Mythic, we will collect and store: the website from which you visited us, the parts of Mythic you visit, the date and duration of your visit, your truncated and anonymised IP address, and information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are located in, and web browser type) you used during your visit. We process this usage data in Matomo Analytics for statistical purposes, to improve Mythic and to recognize and stop any misuse.
Page URLs containing Storybook and page titles are all anonymised before being processed meaning that none of your content is captured in the analytics software.
We do not sell or provide third-parties with our analytics data.
Your Content
The content you create is your own. We will not use it (except within your account on Mythic), share it, or sell it without your explicit permission. With features such as content sharing and marketplace (when available), you are in control of the content that can be shared or sold.
You give Mythic permission to make your Storybook available on a public URL when you have enabled this option in your Storybook settings.
Storybooks you make public or share with other users is subject to moderation by Mythic, in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
Currently, images are not protected by authentication, but only a long, random URL using GUIDs. This means it is exceedingly unlikely that someone will guess the URL of your image, but if it is shared (via a public or privately shared Storybook) anyone with the URL can view it. We plan to fix this issue in the future, especially now that Storybook sharing has arrived.
